First Aid at Work Skills Update

The revised First Aid at Work Regulations require all First Aiders to refresh and update their skills on an annual basis. The recomendation is 3 hours duration per year. Annual Skills Update training is sometimes confused with a “First Aid at Work Requalification” course. The FAW Requalification course is a 2 day programme and is required to be completed prior to the First Aid at Work (3 day course) certificate’s expiry.

The annual skills update should ideally be attended 12 months and 24 months into any first aid certificates validity (whether 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work or 3 day First Aid at Work) to ensure those qualified remain competent to carry out first aid in the workplace.

Who should attend?
This course is suitable for all those who hold a current First aid at work certificate.

What you will learn?

This session also gives those attending the chance to improve and refresh their practical resuscitation and lifesaving skills. Candidates will practice first aid in practical, hands-on scenario sessions.

3 hours annually.
